Meet Team Forbes

Alison Forbes, M.ED founded Forbes College Consulting more than 20 years ago with former Harvard Admissions Dean, David Smith. Alison is a seasoned professional with a personal approach.  Her many years in admissions and teaching inform her student-centered, dynamic and strategic work.

Alison is a thought-leader in admissions and regularly presents around the world to schools and organizations. She travels widely to US colleges to meet with admissions staff, gain insight into the nuances of each campus, and stay current with admission trends. 

Alison helps students take ownership of the college process and present themselves strategically and reflectively to schools.  Her positive, energetic and supportive approach ensures that students are poised to navigate the complexity of the admission process.  Alison specializes in helping students find colleges that are the right fit academically, socially and financially.

Alison recently helped her eldest daughter navigate the college process and matriculate to Brown and her second daughter to Skidmore. Outside of work, Alison is busy learning Spanish, traveling internationally with her daughters and husband, and exploring new hikes in New England and beyond.

Molly Morrow brings a unique perspective to the team, having worked in admission and enrollment management at the secondary, undergraduate, and graduate level. With a great depth of experience in highly selective college admission, Molly draws on knowledge gained through years of candidate review and selection to provide valuable insight on how to prepare Forbes students for the application process. 

Molly holds a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College in History and returned to her alma mater to serve as a member of the admission staff for 5 years. As a former college athlete, Molly appreciates the collaborative spirit on the Forbes team and has enjoyed empowering young athletes while coaching field hockey and lacrosse.

A native of New Hampshire, Molly enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends on Lake Massesecum in the summer and on the slopes at Mount Sunapee in the winter, as well as traveling to Seoul, South Korea to visit her sister, brother-in-law, and niece! 

Mary Alex Staude is a certified School Counselor in New York City who specializes in the college process. She believes in a strengths-based approach to help students develop self-awareness as they set, evaluate, and achieve their goals. She focuses on helping students craft personal and detailed essays that showcase the very best parts of themselves. She also has a background in academic tutoring and test preparation and enjoys empowering students to take ownership of their work and their goals. 

She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an honors degree in English, and she completed her graduate degree in School Counseling at Hunter College in New York City. She is a member of the American School Counselor Association and Chi Sigma Iota, the international honor society for counselors. She resides in Brooklyn, New York with her fiancé and loves reading, cooking, traveling, attending live theatre, and walking in Prospect Park.

Tamre is an accomplished professional with over twenty years of experience in business management, bookkeeping, office administration, and education. She holds a B.S. in Education from Northeastern University and has taught music in private and home-school settings.  She looks forward to helping you with any billing questions you may have.
